The College of Science and Mathematics (CSAM) will host a graduation Convocation Ceremony on Sunday, May 22, 2016 on Sprague Field for our undergraduate students who will complete their degree requirements by May 2016 and for those whose degrees were conferred in August 2015 and January 2016. CSAM will welcome another distinguished alumni to be recognized and speak at the ceremony. In 2015 Anthony Scriffignano was the Distinguished Alumni Award recepient.
While the University Commencement, scheduled for Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 10am at the Prudential Center signifies the official conferral of degrees, the individual College and School Convocation is a pre-commencement ceremony celebrating bachelor’s degree candidates' achievements. Tickets are required for the Convocation.
In case of inclement weather, please call the weather hotline at 973-655-7810 for information regarding cancellation of Convocation.
Please note that doctoral and master's degree candidates are to attend the Graduate Convocation only.
Candidates who will complete their degree requirements by May 2016 and who after filing for a final audit are on the May 2016 graduation list are eligible to participate in the Convocation and/or Commencement exercises. Also eligible to participate are those whose degrees were conferred on August 2015 and January 2016.
If you have questions concerning academic issues relative to your degree, please contact the Office of the Registrar at 973-655-4376. All other questions related to your academic standing may be directed to your academic advisor.
For information on the application for final audit, Certification (Teacher), or if you missed the deadline to file for graduation, visit the registrar.
The Convocation ceremony will be held in Sprague Field, an open air venue. Guests are urged to dress according to the weather. It is highly recommended that students and guests wear comfortable flat shoes since students will enter and walk across the field to their designated seats.
