EAES Student Wins TechLaunch Competition

Congratulations to B.S. in Earth and Environmental Science major Christina Verhagen, who was the best of the best in the TechLaunch Future Scientist Competition.

TechLaunch challenges students to succinctly and effectively communicate their science to a general audience. Christina won the $1000 first prize for her presentation "Analysis of Pliocene core DVDP-11 for evidence of a vegetated Antarctic Coastline." Congratulations to Christina and to her research mentor Dr. Sandra Passchier!
