I would describe myself as a perpetual learner. I will always be a student in many ways. I am a graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, with my bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. I have had approximately 3 years of industrial experience working in a clinical laboratory running diagnostic tests on patient samples before making a move into the teaching field. I chose to make a career change into education for many reasons. These included my interest in working with young students, creative and diverse situations, and making a positive impact on the community. Also, I enjoy relating my experiences in life (good and bad) to others. I’ve been a teacher in the Orange School District for over 3 years now and I currently teach 8th grade general science. Every day is a healthy challenge that keeps me on my toes and makes me a better educator, learner, and individual!

I look forward to working with my colleagues in the WIPRO SEF program, learning how to augment my ability to teach Biology and continue to inspire future students with the wonders of nature.
