About the Program

The College of Science and Mathematics at Montclair State offers an undergraduate major in Science Informatics with elective tracks in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Computer Science.

The curriculum contains a core set of courses in each of the subject areas, then students take advacned courses based on the track of their choice.

Finally, they fulfill a research program to hone their problem-solving skills combining their knowledge from the primary science areas. As a capstone experience, each student develops a research problem, with faculty guidance, and implements a solution.
