Science Honors Innovation Program (SHIP)
The Science Honors Innovation Program, or SHIP, is a research intensive program for undergraduates majoring in one of the CSAM disciplines. SHIP provides a wealth of opportunities for students to conduct research and to become deeply involved in the research community, both locally and globally. SHIP also provides financial support for student research, travel to conferences and workshops, summer stipends and scholarships.
The SHIP program is an unparalleled opportunity for undergradutes to get involved in the research community, get a head start on graduate school, and to compete for awards, fellowships and admission to top PhD programs. SHIP students and faculty will meet frequently for formal and informal discussions and seminars, and SHIP students will be given access to research faculty in every discipline.
SHIP students may travel to national and international meetings and present their research. The experience culminates as a research paper, suitable for publication, that will constitute the student's undergraduate thesis.
SHIP has been funded by generous grants from Merck and Roche and we gratefully acknowledge their support on behalf of the future of our students and the STEM disciplines.
The Science Honors Innovation Program (SHIP) is now accepting applications for the class of 2015. The application deadline is April 26, 2013 and the application and additional information can be found at: http://www.montclair.edu/csam/ship/how-to-apply/
