ATTENDING GRADUATE SCHOOL
Research has shown that students with a graduate education are better prepared to face the global challenges of rapid increases in knowledge and information. While undergraduate education is generally designed to provide students with a broad-based education with some concentration in a specific discipline, graduate education allows in-depth specialization in either an academic or a professional discipline.

Education at the graduate level:

  • Allows for concentrated study in a specialized area, which gives uniqueness to one's skills.
  • Is viewed as distinguishing criteria for separating job seekers in the applicant pool.
  • Adds breadth and depth to one's academic background, which provides the expertise needed for increased levels of responsibility.
  • Provides research and writing experiences vital for launching one's career onto the "fast track."
