The Technology Solutions Center (TSC), located in University Hall, 5th floor, provides technology support services to all MSU students, faculty and staff. This center combines services from various areas of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) into one central location for your convenience. Among those support services most frequently utilized by MSU students are the University Help Desk, public and teaching computing laboratories, audio visual, hardware and software consulting services and training sessions.
The OIT is proud to provide the students at Montclair State University with the technical resources, services and support they need to communicatte and collaborate with faculty and staff.
In particular, the University Help Desk provides assistance to resident and commuter students who connect their computers to the MSU network and might have potential computer viruses. If you need assistance and are a current MSU student with a laptop, please contact the University Help Desk to schedule an appointment. Each Fall during "Move-In Weekend", the OIT I-Team will be stationed in several residence halls to help incoming residents connect to the MSU network. If you are having issues with registering your computer, connecting to the Internet or have a potential virus, please look for our team, wearing gold shirts in the lobby. The University Help Desk can be reached via phone at (973) 655-7971, in person at the Technology Solutions Center on the 5th floor of University Hall or via e-mail at helpdesk@mail.montclair.edu. We are also available via chat at http://oit.montclair.edu! We also update our current hours on the Audix voice system. PLEASE NOTE: *Due to campus site license agreements, we are unable to distribute operating systems and the Microsoft Office applications to students. *The OIT is unable to provide hardware support to non-MSU equipment due to various vendor warranties. Please contact your hardware vendor for further information and assistance on hardware support.

The following is a list of where the public computing labs are located on campus. The hours of operation are posted outside of each lab, at the Technology Solutions Center, and http://oit.montclair.edu/tsc/labs/labschedule.html.
AV SERVICES

The equipment must be picked up from the TSC and returned at the end of the scheduled class.
NOTE: Failure to return the equipment at the designated time may result in a hold being placed on your transcript.

All Montclair State University students are provided with, and are expected to utilize, a MSU email account. The MSU email system is an official communications channel to the university community. Students may visit any public computing lab, or visit http://webmail.montclair.edu, for further information on using a MSU email account.
