Before
school ended, seventh graders from Paterson's School 9 were treated
to a day on campus where they had the opportunity to tour facilities,
observe classes and participate in a host of activities. The day was
coordinated by Mark Kaelin of Health Professions/PERLS who has been
working with the students pilot-testing a curriculum to teach middle
school students the science of epidemiology. The program is funded by
a $425,000 Science Education Partnership Award from the National Center
for Research Resources at the National Institutes of Health. Pictured,
Admissions Ambassador Christine Thorry, points out some of the buildings
during a tour of the campus.
