The funds will enable MSU to more aggressively recruit and retain the most talented faculty members with the very strongest academic credentials and a deep commitment to the pursuit of their own development as teachers and scholars, as well as those who demonstrate the potential to become leaders in their respective fields. These funds also will make it possible for MSU to seek significant increases in external funding for research and program support and provide enhanced services for faculty who seek and acquire such funding.
