Undergraduate Scholarships, Graduate Teaching Assistantships and Student Development

For many bright and highly qualified students, the question of whether they will gain access to the higher education they deserve often hinges on the availability of financial assistance. True to its heritage, Montclair State is committed to increasing the funds it disburses each year in the form of scholarships, grants and graduate teaching assistantships.

Gifts to Montclair State University will help talented and ambitious students to bridge the gap between the cost of their education and what they can afford to pay-while strengthening Montclair State's ability to compete for the region's and the nation's most promising undergraduate and graduate students.

Gifts to the University also will support those programs that contribute to the development of students' leadership skills and athletic abilities.

Money for student scholarships will help improve the quality and selectivity of students, especially those with specialized talents who will enrich the MSU community. Intellectually accomplished students raise the level of dialogue in and out of the classroom, spurring others on to greater effort and achievement. Students from different parts of the country and the world bring new perspectives to discussions and educate their peers about other ways of life. The same is true of students who represent a range of economic and cultural backgrounds. The University Fund will help attract talented students from every corner of the world by funding scholarships and other academic initiatives. The University also seeks to increase the number of opportunities for talented graduate students through assistantships and fellowships, which will further strengthen MSU's graduate programs.
