It will also emphasize how faculty use well-designed assessment and evaluation tools to improve the quality of student learning. The only thing consistent about information technology in higher education is that it is consistently changing. Because of the light speed at which things change or are needed Òon the flyÓ, there is also a need to remain up-to-date and current in ones skills and resources.

This track will include presentations dealing with instructional technology tools available at MSU, internal and external financial support to develop, implement and evaluate instructional activities involving technology, grant writing guidelines, and administrative support

In addition, the concept of training and development through the use of workshops and orientation meetings speak to the lifelong learning model. This topic will look to specific examples of how faculty and staff keep up with the growing technology infusion in education and/or some of the personal development faculty or staff have participated in, and the benefits of such experiences.
