For Resident students:
If a state of emergency should be declared and transportation to and from the campus suspended, all resident students are encouraged to immediately return to their officially assigned room. Once there, residents will remain until members of the Residence Life staff have conducted a headcount and verified floor rosters. While
waiting, residents will be assisted in calling home to help their families locate them.

Any visitors to the residence halls will be instructed to move to the main lobbies and remain there until staff members have finished accounting for the resident population.

Once rosters are verified, they will be placed at the front desk so that if calls from concerned family members come in, the staff will at least be able to say if they are on-campus.

Front Desks will remain in operation and Residence Life Staff will be available as well as all other emergency services. For Commuter Students:
If a state of emergency is declared and transportation to and from the campus suspended, all commuter students who are unable to leave campus should proceed to the Student Center. Designated staff members will attempt to "register" all those present. Staff will also attempt to organize lines for telephone use so that students without access to cell phones or e-mail will have the opportunity to call concerned family members.
