Email notifications are sent to students when they have a package available for pickup. The student’s package will be held for a maximum of three (3) weeks before it is returned to the sender.

Students must present a photo ID and the tracking number when they arrive to pick up a package.

Packages that are not properly addressed with the campus address, including the student’s name, building and room number, will be refused. For example, cell phones are usually shipped to the attention of the contract holder (usually the parent) rather than the student’s name. Please ensure that your packages are properly addressed before completing your online orders.

If a student needs to pick up a large package, but cannot transport it themselves, we will make every effort to meet the student at their housing facility with the package. Postal Services staff are not permitted to transport students in University-owned vehicles and can only take packages to the curbside.

Package Shipping

Drop boxes for USPS, FedEx, and UPS are located on College Avenue, across the street from Susan A. Cole Hall.

Students are responsible for paying postage for all items they wish to mail from campus. Postal Services does not sell postage stamps, however, stamps are available for purchase in the Bookstore located in the Student Center. Postage can also be paid for and printed through the USPS’s Click-N-Ship service.

The United States Postal Service (U.S.P.S.) picks up outgoing U.S. mail usually between 4:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. For any last minute express pieces that you may have to send out, be sure to drop them off by at least 4:00 p.m. to allow for processing. If you miss the cutoff time, your material will be sent out the next business day.

If a student needs to ship a package via FedEx or UPS, the student must make the necessary payment arrangements with the carrier. All packages must have a return label affixed to the box or the carrier should be aware of the package upon arrival and have a call tag on hand. Small packages can be dropped off at the FedEx and UPS drop boxes located across the street from Susan A. Cole Hall. Larger packages that will not fit in the drop boxes may be brought to Postal Services office in the Maintenance Building for shipping.
