Mail forwarding service will be provided for residence students who have been cancelled from their residence halls for current or upcoming academic term. Please note that forwarding services are not being provided during the University Holidays.
The following Official Change of Address Form must be submitted to Central Mail Services to benefit from the mail forwarding services.
Mail Services is responsible for the delivery of Fed-Ex packages in addition to the United States Postal Service and Inter-Office Mail Services.
If you have any questions concerning Fed-Ex Services, please contact Central Mail Services at 973-655-6834.
All other couriers are being handled by Central Receiving. If you have any questions concerning UPS and DHL Services, please contact Central Receiving Services at 973-655-4359.
All students living on campus should use the following address format to help aid in a more timely and efficient delivery of USPS mail and all other shipments (UPS, FedEx, etc):

The following is recommended in the sequence and position indicated for
addressing to insure efficient handling and delivery by the US Postal
Service.
Please avoid using nicknames.
Line 1: Your Name
Line 2: Montclair State University
Line 3: Your Residential Building Name
Line 4: CITY, STATE & ZIP CODE + 4
Parcel deliveries for students residing on campus are made to the Central Mail Services located at the Maintenance Building Room 211 across the Red Hawk Parking Deck.
Delivery notification is made by the placement of a delivery notice in the student mailbox. A picture I.D. and delivery notice are required to claim shipments from the Central Mail Services.

The United States Postal Service (U.S.P.S.) picks up outgoing U.S. mail usually between 4:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. For any last minute express pieces that you may have to send out, be sure to drop them off by at least 3:50 p.m. to allow for processing. If you miss the cutoff time, your material will be sent out the next business day.

Student Center and on the 1st floor of College Hall (vending machines).
