Registration and Fee Information

Montclair State University students, faculty & staff can register vehicles on-line via E-Park to obtain parking permits. You must have an active MSU NetID to register for parking. Surface lot parking permits will be mailed to the registrant upon completion of web-based registration; Red Hawk Deck transponders will be mailed for an additional fee of $5.00.

Standard application forms are available on our Forms page for those who wish to pay by cash or check. For security reasons, paper applications must be submitted in person at the Parking Services Office on the first level in the Red Hawk Deck.

All permits must be re-issued at the start of each new academic year (September 1-Augsut 31). All students and employees are required to have a parking permit for any vehicle that they park on campus, unless the vehicle will be parked only in the Red Hawk Deck, the NJ Transit garage, or in metered campus spaces. Permits allow the authorized holder to park in lots designated by the type of permit issued. A permit does not provide assurance of a parking space at any given time or location.

Red Hawk Deck

Red Hawk Deck annual permit fees for full-time employees are based on an employee's gross annual salary. Please refer to the chart below to find what rate is used to calculate your permit cost.
