Travel Demand Management (TDM)

TDM is a set of strategies that aid in using the existing resources and infrastructure of a transportation system more efficiently.

Montclair State University works with Meadowlink, the Transportation Management Association for Essex County. Meadowlink http://www.meadowlink.org/ works with Montclair State to help generate TDM solutions and to promote programs such as carpooling, vanpooling, walking, bicycling and public transportation. They administer carpool reward programs for the State of New Jersey including an Emergency Ride Home Program and a Gas Incentive Program.
