Eric Borghi

Biography

Eric Borghi was Drummer/Percussionist of the 2015 Broadway revival of On The Twentieth Century and was Percussionist and Substitute Percussionist, respectively, for the 2010-2013 and 2017-2020 North American tours of Les Misérables. Other Broadway work includes the current productions of Maybe Happy Ending and Wicked, as well as the 2009 revival of West Side Story, and the 2006 revival of A Chorus Line. Locally, Borghi plays regularly for productions by the Mayo Performing Arts Center and Middlesex County Plays-In-The-Park. He has also appeared with such acts as The Duprees and American Idol alum Kimberley Locke. Mr. Borghi performs regularly with the Princeton Symphony, has appeared with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and holds chairs in the New Jersey Festival Orchestra and Greenwich (CT) Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Borghi has a Bachelor of Music degree from The College of New Jersey where he studied with Barry Centanni and William Trigg and a Master of Music degree from Mannes College of Music where he trained with Norman Freeman, Michael Werner, and Glen Velez. Mr. Borghi is the Percussion Area Coordinator and an adjunct instructor of percussion in the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University. As an avid aviator, Mr. Borghi holds a Private Pilot (airplane) certificate with instrument rating and enjoys exploring the East Coast by air with his husband, flautist Ryu Cipris.
