George Spitzer

Biography

It is a privilege to serve as an Adjunct Professor of Voice at Montclair State University, where I am completing my sixteenth year on the faculty. With more than twenty years of teaching experience, I remain deeply committed to helping singers develop healthy, sustainable technique and the artistic confidence needed to thrive in this field.

At Montclair, I teach applied voice to students pursuing a wide range of musical paths, guiding them through the technical, musical, and interpretive skills essential to their growth. My work centers on building strong foundations, encouraging curiosity, and supporting each student’s individual development as an artist.

I am honored to be a recipient of the Spring 2026 Adjunct Faculty Research and Professional Development Award, which supports my continued growth as a teacher and artist. Teaching continues to be one of the great constants in my life, and I approach every lesson with the same sense of purpose and joy that first brought me into this profession.
