Biography
Hannah Janal is an award-winning filmmaker born and raised in Greenwich Village, with a BA from Bard College and MFA in Film from Columbia University. Her work has screened at Berlin, Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca.
She is Executive Producer of Passages (dir. Ira Sachs, starring Ben Whishaw, Franz Rogowski, and Adèle Exarchopoulos), Josephine (dir. Beth de Araújo, starring Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan), winner of the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at Sundance 2026, and the upcoming Triumph of the Will, starring Shira Haas. She serves on the Advisory Board of Defy Ventures and is based in New York City.
