Biography

It’s a joy to be an Adjunct Faculty member at Montclair State University, John J. Cali School of Music. I am fascinated with and committed to helping singers discover their own special voices and become more musically expressive with them. I’ve enjoyed teaching voice students of all ages and skills, and at the Cali School, I teach Undergraduate and Graduate applied lessons to students majoring in Performance, Music Education and Music Therapy, with a concentration in Voice. Working with these students to develop vocal technique, musicianship, and the skills required to pursue a career in some aspect of music, is a great privilege. I’ve also enjoyed teaching repertoire, diction and sight-reading classes at the college level. Decades of voice teaching, and my own opera, oratorio, and art song performance, have afforded me countless experiences and tools to share with young singers, to build their confidence in their own vocal technique and their ability to communicate expressively, through many styles of music.
