Michael Sanowitz

Biography

Mike Sanowitz is a professional bassist with over 20 years of experience playing in a variety of settings: concerts, recording sessions, touring bands, and musical theater. He is currently an active session player in the New York metropolitan area. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Mike studied electric bass with notable players including Steve Bailey, John Patitucci, Victor Wooten, Anthony Vitti, and more.

As a musician and educator, Mike has facilitated bass clinics at colleges, universities, and conferences across the US. In addition to his work as a player and recording artist, Mike has extensive experience in songwriting, arranging, and composition. He is endorsed by Bergantino Audio Systems for his amplification needs, and can typically be seen playing a Fender Jazz Bass or a Modulus Quantum V.
