Biography

Peter J Davis - Production Manager, Department of Theatre and Dance, College of the Arts

Each year, Peter coordinates the various elements that go into making a theatrical/dance performance including the schedule and budget for the various disciplines of our business (Scenic, Costume, Lighting, Audio, Stage Management, Props, House Management, and Projection) for rehearsal and performances of 6 - 8 mainstage productions, 8 -10 studio presentations staged in 6 different campus venues, as well as numerous outreach events.

In addition, Mr. Davis is an adjunct professor who teaches classes:
*Production Operations, a practicum course training performance-focused students production skills as they work on the crews for departmental productions.
* Production Management, exploring the role of the Production Manager in Theatrical and Performing Arts including Theatre, Dance, Opera, special Events and Rock and Roll.
* Performance Production, directing performance students in studio presentations (SING FOR YOUR SUPPER, 2/17 and COLD TURKEY, 4/19)

Peter J Davis is Production Manager and Adjunct Professor for the Department of Theatre and Dance at Montclair State University and has worked for over 30 years in Regional, Broadway and Off Broadway Theatre Management, as well as training and experience as a director and movement-theatre performer.
