Registration and Transcript Holds Have Been Placed

Registration for the Winter and Spring 2013 begins November 5, 2012

All of the accounts that still have a balance due, including students that enrolled in an under budgeted payment plan, for the fall of 2012 semester are blocked for registration and transcripts .    View your WESS account summary to see if you have a current balance.

Outstanding balances or any type of account holds can prohibit students from receiving housing, registering for future semesters, receiving transcripts, and diplomas.

Pay as soon as possible to avoid problems. Computer terminals are provided in our Student Accounts Office in College Hall, Room 218 for E-check and Credit Cards payments.

You can pay your balance by mailing a certified check or money order to:

Montclair State University
Cashiers Office CO 216
Montclair NJ, 07043

You can pay using an E-Check  or  Credit Card by accessing your Account Summary via WESS.   Please note that the E-Check only gives you the option to pay from your personal checking/savings accounts. Checks that are received as an advance payment using a credit card number/line of credit or mutual fund accounts are not recognized as valid account numbers.  Sallie Mae charges a convenience fee for processing credit card payments and VISA is not accepted.

When paying with an e-check or credit card use your Campus Wide ID. When paying with an e-check MSU waits 5 business days before removing any holds. If paying with a personal check MSU waits two weeks before removing any holds.  Check WESS or the Student Accounts webpage for more information.  Any returned payments will be assessed an additional fee.

For more information consult the schedule of courses catalog on line, the Student Accounts web page at www.montclair.edu or use the link "Payment Options" under Account Summary on your WESS account.  You can also stop into the Student Accounts Office located in College Hall, Room 218 between the hours of 8:30 - 4:30, (we are opened until 6PM on Monday and Thursday) or call 973-655-4177.
