Fall 2014

The Fall 2014 edition of Montclair State University's award-winning Forward Thinking research newsletter highlights major grants used to fund research to fight bioterrorism, to study the genetics of corn for improving crops, to support urban science and math teachers and to improve community schools in Orange, New Jersey. University researchers are also studying how students in urban schools learn to see themselves as mathematicians, how adolescents develop character and how Manhattan's High Line is used as a public space. Additionally, both students and faculty are involved in a U.S. Department of State-funded research and study exchange program with Chile and in a ongoing archaeological dig in Italy.
