Spring 2013

The Spring 2013 edition of Montclair State University's award-winning Forward Thinking newsletter highlights how a faculty researcher is helping NASA map changes in Arctic tundra and how faculty and student researchers are making a difference in the lives of at-risk teens in Patterson N.J. through a drug abuse and HIV prevention program. University researchers are also working to restore local polluted waterways; evaluating the state's middle school abstinence education program; and visualizing fluid flow patterns with the use of new Particle Image Velocimeter. Additionally, the University is poised to receive almost $94 million in funds for capital improvement projects that will support research, including the Center for Environmental and Life Sciences and the new School of Business.
