Spring 2014

The Spring 2014 edition of Montclair State University's award-winning Forward Thinking research newsletter highlights grants used to help the youngest survivors of Superstorm Sandy cope with the disaster and help river communities reduce flooding risk in future storms. University researchers also are collaborating with Seoul National University to study marine seismic data to better predict climate change. In addition to other faculty and student research, this issue also showcases the University's new doctoral program in environmental management, one of only a few such programs in the country, as well as a $1-million grant from PSEG to the the University's PSEG Institute for Sustainability for research into creating a resilient sustainable community model that balances a clean environment with economic growth and social justice.
