My name is Jingyi Sun. I am from Tianjin, China. I earned a dual bachelor degree of finance and sports management in Tianjin University of Finance and Economics in 2009. While an undergraduate student, I spent a semester in the U.S. participating in the MSU Disney Program, run by MSU’s Business School; it was a wonderful experience.
After getting my BA, I knew that I wanted to attend MSU’s MBA program. I knew that the Business School was excellent, I thought that the location near New York City was ideal and the tuition was reasonable, and I enjoyed the rich diversity of the students at MSU. In the Fall of 2009 I started studying in the MBA program, concentrating on Management and Information System. I must say Montclair State University is a wonderful school and its school of business is the best - not only because it offers strong academics and practical professional tools, but also because it has a great team of professors and staff who are committed to helping students in their growth and development.
In the fall of 2010, I became a teacher assistant in the MIS department. My role was to teach 300 students about computer application in business. This role permitted me to help the students master computer skills relevant to the business world, and gave me the opportunity to learn about teaching. In the summer of 2011, I got an internship at Sony Music Entertainment which gave me a great vision for working in a global corporation and had a great impact for my personal growth and career development. This fall I will start another internship in a business process engineer role in an international company; it is a great company, with excellent leaders and teams.
All of these opportunities would never have presented themselves to me were in not for MSU’s outstanding MBA program.
