Film Festival

All film screenings, which are moderated by Montclair State University faculty, are free and open to public, and will be held at 7:00 p.m. in University Hall Room 1040.

 

Tuesday March 2

Dark Matter (2007) Directed by Chen Shi-Zheng. A Chinese physics student (Liu Xing) at an American university makes a bumpy transition into American life with the help of a wealthy university patron (Meryl Streep) and his professor (Aidan Quinn). An evening of Short Videos from China.
A series of short films by young Chinese and western filmmakers and video artists, curated and introduced by artist Ellen Zweig.

The extraordinary life of the Chinese revolutionary heroine and women's rights activist Qiu Jin (1875-1907).

Artist Cao Fei, who lives in Second Life as China Tracy, gives a tour of RMB City and discusses her experience in this virtual world.
