Events for Returning Students

Dear Study Abroad Alums:

You are invited to attend our 2nd
Study Abroad Reunion!!

Thursday, September 8th, 4:00 pm
Cohen Lounge, Dickson Hall

Come join us for a fun and informal Study Abroad Reunion for all students who have studied abroad (any term!).  Whether you are just back from your Spring or Summer semester abroad or have been back for years, we would love to see you at this event.

The reunion is a wonderful way to share your experiences with a like minded group and learn ways to continue your international experiences in the future.

You will have an opportunity to connect with fellow study abroad students and hear about the new services and events designed just for you.

Bring some of your souvenirs to share!

Be ready to share your stories with your fellow students!

Compete in the Study Abroad Photo Contest!  This year’s theme is “How I became a part of…”

Whether you participated in a homestay or connected with locals, we want to see how you interacted with and became a part of your host country and culture.  Limit: three (3) photo entries per contestant.  Please include a brief description of your photo(s), including where and when it was taken.  The winner will receive a $50 gift card to the MSU Bookstore! Submit all entries via email or jump drive to my attention.

There will be FOOD and fun activities.  Come and network with other returned study abroad students as we share tips about how to deal with the culture shock of coming home, and how to make the most of your experience now that you've returned.

Please RSVP via this link:  RSVP for Fall Study Abroad Reunion

Can’t wait to touch base with all of you!

All best,

The Peace Corps
The Peace Corps traces its roots and mission to 1960, when then Senator John F. Kennedy challenged students at the University of Michigan to serve their country in the cause of peace by living and working in developing countries.
