Saul and Adelaide Goldfarb Scholarships

Montclair offers a number of scholarship opportunities to full-time and part-time students. Most notably, the Saul and Adelaide Goldfarb Graduate Scholarship award ranges from $1,500 to $7,000 per year

The Graduate School administers the Saul and Adelaide Goldfarb Graduate Scholarships awarded by the Montclair State University Foundation. The Montclair State University Foundation supports the activities of the University in many ways. Through its endowments, the Foundation has made funds available for scholarships to graduate students. A limited number of scholarships are offered each year to qualified graduate students. 

The Saul and Adelaide Goldfarb Graduate Scholarships are available to qualified new students at Montclair State University who have not previously earned a master's degree. Admission and scholarship applications must be received at The Graduate School by April 2, 2012 to be considered for awards for the following academic year. To be eligible, students must be fully matriculated into a graduate degree program either on a full- or part-time basis by the time the Scholarship is awarded. The scholarships will provide tuition for 2 semesters for a maximum of 24 semester credits for full-time students and 12 credits for part-time students. Recipients must maintain a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average each semester of the award.

To be considered for the Saul and Adelaide Goldfarb Graduate Scholarship, students must submit the following documents to The Graduate School by April 2, 2012:

  • The Saul and Adelaide Goldfarb Graduate Scholarship Application
  • Current one page resume
  • Typed response to the essay questions

The following documents must be on file at The Graduate School as part of the student's admission application file:

  • Official transcript(s)
  • Official standardized test scores (GRE, GMAT, MAT)

In addition to the documents mentioned above, students who received their undergraduate degree from an institution in a foreign country must submit the following documents to The Graduate School by April 2, 2012:

  • Official TOEFL or IELTS score
  • Foreign transcript evaluation by World Education Services (WES)

Students will be evaluated on all of the requirements mentioned above. Students will be notified of the results by mid-summer.

Other Graduate Scholarships
