Fall 2009 Graduate Student Orientation

Building a Foundation for Success

Please join us for the Fall 2009 Graduate Student Orientation. The Orientation will provide opportunities to learn more about Montclair State University and specifically; its campus, services, faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as meet fellow graduate students. Let us help you gather the tools you need as you embark on your graduate career.

Student Center Ballrooms, Montclair State University
August 22nd, 2009
9:00am to 1:00pm

We ask that you arrive between 9:00am and 9:30am to allow yourself the proper amount of time to sign-in, get your Student ID, MSU email address, NetID, and gather all pertinent materials before the start of the program. The program will begin promptly at 10:00am.

Over the course of the day, we will be offering sessions on the following topics:
·  Graduate Studies at Montclair State University 
·  Preparation for Graduate Studies
·  Academic Policies
·  Academic Services & Resources
·  Sprague Library Resources
·  University Health and Counseling Services

Time will also be scheduled for students to obtain:
·  ID Cards
·  Montclair State Free E-mail Accounts
·  Text books from the University Bookstore

In order to attend the Graduate Student Fall Orientation you must register; please click here to register. Please RSVP by August 21st.

Parking for this event will be available in the Red Hawk Deck for a fee. Students who do not have their parking decal must park in the Red Hawk Deck or in any of the metered spaces. Please note that metered spaces have a maximum time limit of two hours.

Directions to campus
Follow the directions listed on the directions website.  Once you reach the campus enter through the main entrance via Normal Ave.  Make a right onto College Avenue, travel 100 yards, around a sharp bend, and you will reach the Red Hawk Parking Deck. Park in that deck. Once you leave the parking garage, follow posted graduate signs for Orientation. Campus Map.
