*Updated* - GRE Waivers for Spring 2012 Admission

Due to the revisions in the GRE test generating delays in the score delivery, many of our graduate programs have decided to waive the GRE requirement for those who are applying to master's degree programs for Spring 2012 admission.

The list of graduate programs that are participating in the GRE Wavier for Spring 2012 and the conditions to qualify for the wavier can be found below. To apply for admission, click here.

College of Education and Human Services  (for applicants completed before DEC 1)*

    • Waived for all applicants. 
  • MA in Fine Arts
    • Waived for applicants with undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or better
  • MA in Music
    • Music Education concentration- waived for all applicants
    • Music Therapy concentration- waived for applicants with 3.3 or higher undergraduate gpa in a music major.
    • Music Theory/Composition- waived for all applicants
    • Performance
  • MA in Theater - all concentrations
    • Waived for all applicants

College of Humanities and Social Sciences**

  • MA in Applied Linguistics
    • Waived for all applicants
  • MA in Child Advocacy
    • Waived for all applicants
  • MA in English
    • Waived for applicants with 3.5 undergraduate GPA in English major
  • MA in French
    • Waived for all applicants
  • MA in History
    • Waived for applicants with a 3.5 GPA in his/her undergraduate history major, and two recommendations in his/her file from teachers familiar with his/her academic performance in college.
  • MA in Law and Governance
    • Waived for all applicants with an undergraduate GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • MA in Spanish
    • Waived for all applicants

College of Science and Mathematics**

  • MS in Mathematics
    • Waived for all applicants
  • MS in Statistics
    • Waived for all applicants
  • MS in Computer Science
    • Waived for all applicants

** The GRE waiver is only valid for the Spring 2012 semester. If an applicant does not complete their application by the start of Spring 2012 classes (1/17/2012), their waiver will be rescinded and they will be required to submit GRE scores for Fall 2012 admission.
