STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
It is the student's responsibility to satisfactorily complete any, and all, prerequisites and co-requisite courses before scheduling a dependent course.  Students are also responsible for adhering to policies and procedures found in the pertinent editions of the Graduate Catalog, the Course Schedule Booklet, and the Student Handbook.

COUN 584: Group Counseling: Theories and Practice, 3 credits
COUN 588: Counseling Techniques, 3 credits
COUN 595: Multicultural Counseling, 3 credits
COUN 652: Introduction to Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling, 3 credits

COUN 531: Counseling Across the Lifespan, 3 credits
                      or
COUN 532: Counseling Child and Adolescents, 3 credits
                      or
COUN 561: Developmental Psychology, 3 credits


II.  Practicum (3 semester hours)
COUN 624: Practicum in Counseling

III. Specialization Requirements and Electives (9 semester hours)

COUN 581: Community Resources, 3 credits
COUN 583: Counseling in Schools, 3 credits

ELRS 580: Learning: Process and Measurement, 3 credits

PSYC 590: Advanced Educational Psychology, 3 credits

IV. Internship (6 semester hours)

COUN 654: Internship Counseling I, 3 credits
COUN 674: Internship Counseling 2, 3 credits

V. Comprehensive Exam

Nearing completion of the program (i.e., after completing 33 semester hours), the student will register for the comprehensive examination given in the Fall or the Spring.
