Master of Arts in Educational Psychology Requirements
The Master of Arts in Educational Psychology aims to increase the student's knowledge of the application of psychological theory to educational practice.
I. Required Courses (15 semester hours)
Requirements PSYC 510, Research Methods in Psychology, 3 credits PSYC 561, Developmental Psychology, 3 credits PSYC 563, Theories of Learning, 3 credits PSYC 578, Psychological Tests and Measurement, 3 credits PSYC 660, Current Topics in Educational Psychology, 3 credits
II. Electives: Psychology (15 semester hours)
To be selected with the advice and approval of the Graduate
Program Coordinator.
III. Electives: Other Departments (6 semester hours)
To be selected with the advice and approval of the Graduate
Program Coordinator.
IV. Thesis (Elective)
V. Comprehensive Examination
Total Credits: 34 semester hours with Thesis option or 36 semester hours without Thesis option.
Students who elect the Thesis option will take one less course in each Elective category (II and III).
