Masters of Arts Degree in Environmental StudiesADMISSIONSThe requirements established for all graduate studies and for matriculation at Montclair State University will be followed in respect to this program. Students with weak undergraduate preparation for environmental studies will be required to complete prerequisite courses at the undergraduate level and/or appropriate graduate level. RESOURCE Students interested in applying to the Post-Graduate Certificate Program in Water Resource Management must submit the following credentials to the Office of Graduate Admissions & Support Services:
In addition to the credentials mentioned above, students who studied in foreign institutions must submit an official TOEFL or IELTS score and have their transcripts evaluated by World Education Services (WES) or any member of the http://www.naces.org/. Students can apply to start the program in the fall or spring semesters. Students with baccalaureate degree in any discipline are welcome to apply. However, it is assumed that students applying for this certificate have completed a bachelor's degree that includes a year each of college chemistry, physics and calculus. At least one college course in geology is also desirable. The certificate director who will ascertain whether the student has sufficient background to succeed in the required coursework must interview students who do not meet these prerequisite criteria. DEADLINESCredentials are processed as soon as they are received. This program does not have a specific deadline; however, the Office of Graduate Admissions & Support Services recommends that students submit their credentials as far in advance as possible from the semester they plan to begin their studies to ensure a timely review of their application.
