Master of Arts in Fine Arts (MA)ADMISSIONSThe requirements established for all graduate studies and for matriculation at Montclair State University will be followed in respect to this program. Applicants to the Fine Arts Department are required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT). Eligibility for matriculation for a concentration in Studio, Art History or Museum Management requires either an undergraduate degree in fine arts or the equivalent as determined by the art department. Advice concerning all requirements, including art history requirements, dates of portfolio reviews, interviews and/or suggested portfolio contents may be obtained from the department's Graduate Program Coordinator. DEADLINESCredentials are processed as soon as they are received. The above program operates on a rolling admissions basis; however, the Office of Graduate Admissions & Support Services recommends that students submit their credentials as far in advance as possible from the semester they plan to begin their studies to ensure a timely review of their application.
