Master of Science in GeoscienceADMISSIONSPrior to matriculation the student should have completed a subject matter background of at least twenty-four (24) semester hours in the geosciences, as well as sufficient background in related sciences (physics, chemistry, mathematics). In cases of inadequate undergraduate backgrounds, prerequisite courses, not for graduate credit, may be assigned. Candidates must also fulfill additional criteria for graduate matriculation as listed in the current Graduate Catalog (see "Admission to Graduate School"). background and credentials. DEADLINESCredentials are processed as soon as they are received. This program does not have a specific deadline; however, the Office of Graduate Admissions & Support Services recommends that students submit their credentials as far in advance as possible from the semester they plan to begin their studies to ensure a timely review of their application.
