Master of Arts in Theatre

1. Do you need an undergraduate degree in theatre in order to apply?

While it is advisable, it is not essential to have an undergraduate degree in theatre. We have accepted students with degrees in history, English, and related fields. We may suggest supplemental readings before entering the program.

2. Is any sort of audition or portfolio required for admission?

Since this is primarily an academic program, no portfolio or audition is required for admission. If you have such materials prepared, you may bring them to the interview with the Graduate Program Coordinator; they may be utilized in planning your program of study.
