Our Mandate:
Montclair State University is committed to the full inclusion of students with disabilities in all curricular and co-curricular activities as mandated by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Disability Resource Center (DRC) will assist you in receiving the accommodations and services necessary to equalize access. DRC provides assistance to students with physical, sensory, learning, psychological and chronic medical disabilities.

How you can receive our services:
1. Self Disclosure You must come to us! In college, it is your responsibility to disclose your disability to the DRC and request accommodations and services.
2. Documentation You must provide documentation of your disability from a qualified professional. Documentation must include functional limitations and your need for specific accommodations
3. Meet your Counselor Make an appointment with your DRC Counselor. We’ll discuss your needs and carefully plan your accommodations.
4. Notify Faculty Receive letters for your faculty informing them of your accommodation needs.
5. Follow through! Keep in touch with your counselor. Share your successes and brainstorm ways to improve your academic performance.
