Health insurance is mandatory for all full-time undergraduate and graduate students as defined by the University (12 or more credits for undergraduate, 9 or more credits for graduate). Montclair State University offers a student health insurance policy through United Healthcare which provides basic coverage. Part-time students who wish insurance coverage and student dependents may also enroll in the United Healthcare plan. Details regarding the United Healthcare plan can be found at www.firststudent.com.
Policy rates for 2009-2010 are:

Full time students are required to enroll in the plan and the cost for this insurance will be billed with tuition statements or demonstrate proof of healthcare coverage under another plan
All full time students must either enroll or waiver the insurance plan by going to www.firststudent.com and completing the appropriate form. You must waive or enroll in the school-sponsored insurance plan each academic year.
