Program Information

If you were unable to attend the latest Montclair Honors Program webinar for interested applicants (on 12/9/2023), you can find the Zoom recording here.

The Montclair State University Honors Program is a home for students who seek out intellectual challenges and ways to excel personally, professionally, and as part of a community. Our courses offer students opportunities to explore new interests and to delve into the unknown. You will be challenged to think beyond the textbook and to develop skills you will use in your future life and career. Montclair Honors students are drawn from all majors and reflect the university’s  exceptional diversity in their backgrounds and interests. We provide a clear and accessible academic pathway so that you can complete your undergraduate degree efficiently and on time.

There are multiple points of entry to the Honors Program. High school students, transfer students, and current Montclair State University students who have completed up to four semesters at MSU can all apply, and separate applications are available for each group.

The Honors Program has produced graduates who have succeeded in every field of endeavor. Its alumni have gone on to study at the nation’s best graduate, medical, law, and business schools, and to careers as business leaders, scholars, scientists, writers, musicians, illustrators, social workers, and master teachers.

Regardless of their specialties, passions, or goals, students can find the resources they need to grow and develop in Montclair Honors.
