The Honors Student Organization at Montclair State University
A commitment to community involvement, academic excellence, and social teambuilding lies at the heart of the Honors Student Organization. For this upcoming year, the executive board has organized volunteer activities, academic programs, trips, and events that include:
- Volunteering at St. John’s Soup Kitchen in Newark, NJ
- Participating in breast cancer and AIDS walks
- Volunteering as literacy tutors with ‘Literacy Volunteer of America’
- A peer leadership program to assist the incoming freshmen with their acclimatization to college life
- A trip to the Bronx Zoo
- and many more to come…
Meetings have been planned on a bi-weekly basis and will be held in College Hall, room 121, on Wednesdays at 2:30 P.M. (common hour). Meeting dates for the fall semester are: Sept 8, 22; Oct 6, 20; Nov 3, 17; Dec 1, 15.
