Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Human Resources
Provide high level confidential administrative support to the Vice President for Human Resources and perform basic functions i.e., maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, booking conference rooms, answering telephone and routing calls appropriately, preparing weekly report updates from staff, ordering office supplies and monitoring centralized office supply inventory, assist with the HR budget process and responsible for all HR financial management processes.

Cathy is responsible for the administrative operations for all areas within the Division of Human Resources, which includes compensation, classification, managerial performance evaluation and reappointments, coaching and counseling and the development of HR policies, procedures and practices. As HR Team Lead of the OneMontclair initiative, she provides leadership and general management for the HR system implementation.

Pat directs the day to day operations of group benefit programs and oversees payroll processing in compliance with federal and state laws and University policies. Pat works to provide a framework for the exchange of vital information while insuring that integrity and confidentiality is maintained for all aspects of benefits and payroll.

Lauren is responsible for providing operational, managerial, and strategic direction for the payroll function with emphasis on driving accurate and timely payroll results, in compliance with State and Federal and University regulations. Lauren strives towards evaluating, developing, recommending, and implementing payroll processes, and system enhancements designed to improve business processes within the department.

Troy is responsible for processing the hourly and limited duration employee timesheets as well as the student payroll.

Kalpana is responsible for ensuring that benefits and deductions are correct on the University HRS Computer System. She serves as liaison and coordinator between Human Resources and the Payroll Department and ensures the accuracy of and mailing out of all W-2s annually. She is also responsible for adjunct and visiting specialist payrolls; child support, garnishments and tax levy processing.

Senior Payroll Clerk
Carla is responsible for professional specialist (Q) payments. She also maintains leave balances for all University staff and ensures the accuracy of pension calculations for Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and Police and Firemen's Retirement System (PFRS). Carla works with the Facilities Division in Kronos data entry on our HRS system.

Associate Director of Benefits
Betty oversees the supervision of personnel within the Benefits Departments and Administers the operation of benefits to include, but not limited to, the enrollment and termination of employee benefits including problem analysis and resolution. She is responsible for University health insurance enrollments and assists in pension administration and serves as liaison to the State Department of Personnel on various benefits issues. Betty is also responsible FMLA/ADA in coordinating, administering, and overseeing the University's Workers Compensation program and medical leave programs. She coordinates and processes all FMLA & NJFLA leaves, and all workers compensation claims. She counsels and assists supervisors and employees in these processes.

Marissa handles the day to day administration of employee benefits which includes enrollment for new hires, status changes and open enrollment, auditing, educating employees on benefit plans and fields calls on medicare and retiree medical benefits.

Diane provides processing enrollment of faculty and special staff into the retirement system. She serves as a liaison to the State Department of Personnel on various benefits issues and also provides customer service.

The unit is comprised of Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development and Training, Classification and Compensation, and Performance Management. Talent Management will provide “one stop” access to important services, leverage the synergies between units, and support the University's people-focused goals and initiatives.

Monica is responsible for overseeing the Talent Acquisition function. She partners with hiring managers across the University to source, identify and attract talent to the University for current and future hiring needs. She also partners with hiring managers and HR on business objectives, provides insight on best recruitment practices and strategy to successfully fill open positions, while remaining committed to the University’s value of diversity and inclusion.

Bindu is responsibile for directing the administration of managerial, unclassified, and classified staffing operations and ensuring compliance with multiple collective bargaining agreements, University policies, and federal/state laws impacting Human Resources.

In the Workday system, Marc handles security (who can see/act on data), business process maintenance, supervisory organization structure, EIBs, and troubleshooting. He also handles all report writing for the University administration, federal and state agencies, unions, etc.

Workday Operations Coordinator
Brittany is part of the Workday Operations team and handles day-to-day operations as well as projects and assignments. She assists with data loads, system audits and validations, reporting, system testing, configuration and end user issues. Serves as service desk technical support and Banner/PeopleSoft support liaison.

Zoila is responsible for providing administrative and technical support to Human Resources Operations, Staffing Services and all other areas within the Division of Human Resources. Prepares and maintains HR Board of Trustee reports, HR divisional reports, managerial and professional staff reappointment letters, contracts and University organizational charts. Processes Adjunct Faculty appointments and maintains class schedules. Processes assignments for Graduate Assistants, Temporary Professional Staff, Teaching Assignment(s) for Managerial, Professional and Administrative Staff, Winter and Summer session employees. Processes deductions for union dues, administers the NJ Transit Program, assists faculty and staff with additions to their web pages and advises and resolves issues with employee Personal Identification Numbers (PIN).

Director of Organizational Development and Training
Charlie directs the Office of Organizational Development and Training. He provides consulting services to various campus constituencies on organizational issues impacting the effective operation of the University. In addition, he designs, develops, implements and facilitates training programs.

Lorin is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and facilitating training programs for managerial staff to support their competency in areas management and leadership skills critical to the University. She assists in consulting with various campus constituencies on organizational issues supporting individual, team and department effectiveness.

Human Resources Coordinator
Carmen provides professional level of human resources assistance in the areas of Employee Relations, Compensation, Classification, Performance, and EEO/Affirmative Action. Generates Applicant Flow, EEO and Source reports in iCIMS (and Workday) for all professional staff/managerial searches. Produces comprehensive spreadsheets and presentations for EEO/Affirmative Action projects. Track new position announcements and prepare initiating memos to appointing administrators or search committee chairs. Generates and tracks Affirmative Action reports and provide periodic support to the President’s Commission on Affirmative Action. Serve as backup for job postings, updating candidate records, submitting background checks, coordinating New Employee Orientation, and scheduling candidate interviews. Support HR staff with letters and appointment paperwork and assist with the completion of the I-9 process, as backup.
