Safe Space Program identifies offices of Montclair State faculty and staff
that are safe places for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.
Such offices are identified with a decal. Some of the people who display
the decal are lesbian or gay, while others are supportive of gay, lesbian,
bisexual and transgender individuals. Some safe space conversations might
include questions about coming out on campus; the resources available
on and off campus; how to cope with family and friends; the importance
of role models among other items of importance. Facilitators of the training

Yogi Berra Museum

to top] Nov. 21-Feb. 21: "Hank Greenberg: Hero for the Ages," a tribute to one of baseball's greatest stars. In commemoration of Greenberg's 90th birthday, the Museum will present an exhibition of rare memorabilia from his life. Greenberg was one of the greatest Jewish players in Major League history and a World War II hero. The display will include artifacts celebrating the career of the Detroit Tigers icon, including the "Sultan of Swat" crown presented to Greenberg in 1938 when he hit 58 home runs. Dec. 6: Ballpark dinner and Greenberg discussion. An evening with journalist Ira Berkow. New York Times sports columnist and Hank Greenberg biographer, Berkow will provide insight into the life and legacy of the beloved baseball hero. Tickets: $50 include a casual dinner.
