Change My Address

It is essential for the Library to have an up to date record of a patron's address. Patrons can inform the Access Services Department of a change of address by selecting the 'My Library Card' link on the Sprague Library Catalog Web page. Proceed by highlighting the 'Change My Address' button and filling out the 'Change of Address' form. Clicking on the 'Send' button at the end completes the process.

Change Pin Number

Patrons can change their PIN number by selecting the 'My Library Card' link on the Sprague Library Catalog Web page. Proceed by highlighting the 'User PIN Change' button and filling out the 'User Pin Change' form. Enter your user ID number (i.e., the barcode number on your library card -- MSU ID card, Guest Library Card, or public library card), or alternate ID number (i.e., employee or student ID number), and current PIN number. Entering the new PIN number and clicking on the 'Change PIN' button at the end completes the process.

Renewals

Eligible patrons (i.e., MSU faculty, staff, and students) can renew their library materials at the Circulation Desk and online. Renew your materials online by selecting the 'My Library Card' link on the Sprague Library Catalog Web page and highlighting the 'Renew My Materials' button. At the 'Select Some or All Items to Renew' screen, proceed by entering your user ID number (i.e., the barcode number on your MSU ID card), or alternate ID number (i.e., employee or student ID number), and your PIN number. Then, select the 'List Charged Items' and the 'Continue' buttons respectively. At the 'Select Items to Renew' screen, you can choose to renew only selected or all items. To renew only selected items, choose the 'Renew Selected Items' button and click on the check box to the left of the title you want to renew. To renew all items, select the 'Renew All' button. Clicking on the 'Renew Selected Items' button at the end completes the transaction.

Please note:

  • Overdue items, items that have reached the renewal limit, and items for which there are outstanding Holds (i.e., items requested by other patrons) are not renewable.
  • Renewals are automatically blocked if you have any overdue items or outstanding fines.

Review My Account

Patrons can review their account by highlighting the 'My Library Card' link on the Sprague Library Catalog Web page. Proceed by selecting the 'Review My Account' link. At the 'Review My Account' screen, enter your user ID (i.e., the barcode number on your library card -- MSU ID card, Guest Library Card, or public library card), or alternate ID number (i.e., employee or student ID number) and PIN number. Clicking on the 'Display User Information' button at the end completes the process.
