The Reference Department works closely with faculty and students to meet their reference and research needs. We offer the following services: Reference Assistance, Library Instruction and Interlibrary Services.
Reference Librarians are available to help you with all of your information and research needs. Get help with research for your assignments and classes during a customized one-on-one session at the Reference Desk (or over the phone/online). See Ask A Librarian for more details or book an appointment with us for an in-depth Research Consultation.
Faculty and instructors can book library instruction classes, led by a professional librarian, for their undergraduate and graduate students, day and evening, Monday through Saturday. Each session is designed around the class and course assignments. We teach classes such as:
- general introduction to research
- subject-specific research instruction (e.g. education, biology, business, law)
- specialized classes on upper level and graduate level research
- workshops on citation searching and management (e.g. Mendeley, Google Scholar)
Instructors are required to be present and participate in these sessions.
Interlibrary Services borrows books, chapters and articles for you (ones we don't already have!) from other institutions. (Current textbooks exempt).
