Records and Property

For reports, you must visit police headquarters or the police substation and fill out a police report request form.  The Records Office will process your request and, within 4-5 days respond as to whether your request can be fulfilled; ensure the form is filled out in its entirety for optimal results.  Once the request is approved, you can either pick up or have the report mailed to you as requested.  There is a fee associated with the report request which you will be notified about before pick up is permitted.  The Records Office is located at the Police Substation in Abbott and Costello Hall 1st Floor in the Village at Little Falls.  The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm (summer hours may be adjusted) and may be reached at (973) 655-7783.  If special arrangements are needed please contact Records and Property to arrange. For property that you have lost on campus you may fill out a citizen’s report at Police Headquarters and if the item is located you will be contacted.  If you should find unattended property promptly contact Police at x5222 or bring the property to Police Headquarters.  The Police Department cannot except items of clothing or food.  Community members who have had items recovered may pick up items (with proper identification) at the Police Substation in Abbott and Costello Hall 1st Floor in the Village at Little Falls.  The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm (summer hours may be adjusted) and may be reached at (973) 655-7783.  If special arrangements are needed please contact Records and Property to arrange.
