Welcome to Montclair State's New University-Wide Website
Montclair State is pleased to welcome you to the University's newly redesigned and upgraded website. As you begin to explore the new site, you will discover:
- Initially, close to 3,000 of MSU's 30,000 page website site will reflect a more contemporary look with the redesign of additional pages occurring in the coming weeks and months on an on-going basis.
- All of the University's Colleges and School-level pages have consistent design and navigation schemes making it simpler and easier for prospective students to find information about MSU's academic offerings, programs and faculty.
- New or enhanced tools have been developed for both current and prospective students including a Student Toolbox with quick links to key services and information preferred by current students as well as new features such as RSS feeds, ITunes access, and MSU news, sports and entertainment information.
For prospective students, an enhanced financial calculator quickly computes the total cost to attend MSU and provides quick links to all of the available sources to obtain financial aid.
For those students beginning to think about the job market, an array of new career planning software tools are available including a resume writing wizard, interactive online interviewing and a comprehensive guide to what kinds of jobs students can obtain with their respective majors.
- The first automated flow of course descriptions from the SIS system to the individual College and School web sites will now enable students, faculty and administrators to have the most up-to-date information within their own sites. The automated flow of curriculum information is scheduled in early Fall.
- For those who have responsibility for updating information on the web, a new easy to use content editing tool makes changes or additions to web pages as easy as editing a Word document.
In all, this initial phase of creating a new and improved www.montclair.edu is designed to make MSU's website look better, do more, and be easier to manage and expand.
We welcome your comments and suggestions and encourage you to send an email to webmaster@montclair.edu.
