Montclair State University’s Amphitheater was filled with
more than 250 filmgoers recently as the Montclair Film Festival ended its
Summer Movie Series there with a showing of John Hughes’ 1985 classic film, The Breakfast Club.
Members of the surrounding communities joined Montclair
State students as they enjoyed the pre-movie entertainment provided by local
rock band, The No Rehearsals, who played hits from the 1980s to get everyone in
the mood for the film. Although many in attendance were not yet born when The Breakfast Club was first released, everyone
could relate to the timeless teenage characters and situations in the film.
The showing was a huge success and a fitting end to the
Film Festival’s Summer Movie Series.
