Prize-Winning, Veteran Sports Journalists Give Inside Scoop

Two renowned, prize-winning and sometimes controversial sports journalists, Harvey Araton of The New York Times and Phil Mushnick of the New York Post, spoke to a packed theater at the Yogi Berra Museum on March 27, 2013 for a lively program on “Sports Journalism and the Future of Print.” Moderated by Dr. Rita D. Jacobs of the University's English Department, the discussion ranged from how the writers got into the profession, to the great stories they’ve covered, to the way in which the world of journalism is changing in terms of access to players, accountability and the rise of the internet.  The Albert Payson Terhune Foundation, the English Department and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences presented the 2013 Terhune Journalism Lecture.
